No criminal conviction or pending criminal case
No major punishment during service career

Engagement is purely contractual
Initial tenure: 1 Year
Extendable by another year based on performance or till 60 years of age
Deployment includes:

Internal Security Duties anywhere in Odisha
Engagement can be terminated with 30 days’ notice if found unsuitable
Personnel must wear OSSF prescribed uniform & badges
Governed under Police Act, 1861 (Sections 18 & 19)
